Double Space

“Excellent debut album… which is probably the most significant piece of music recorded in this country in the last decade... Brilliant compositions including weird time signatures and unexpected twists and turns… The vocals… are expressive and very sensitive to the complex lyrics. The maturity and the intellectual stamina of this project are truly astounding, especially in view of the young age of its participants… This is another most welcome addition to the local scene." (Adam Baruch, www.jazzis.com, 2006)

Double Space plays original musical settings of Hebrew poems by renowned Israeli poets alongside instrumental pieces. Influenced by classical music, jazz, progressive rock and world music, their music is diverse and eclectic. In January 2006 Double Space released their album Windings. The album was self-produced and featured over twenty guest artists on flute, oboe, recorder and oud, as well as background singer and a children choir. In 2010, Windings was chosen by the Israeli Kol Ha-Campus Radio (106FM) as one of the best progressive rock albums of the decade.
